If you've seen the latest James Bond movie Skyfall, you will have no doubt been impressed by the scenery, wishing you too "could race through Scotland's dramatic countryside" and hide out in its misty Highlands. That's what the US media giant CNN is saying anyway.
The American broadcaster was so impressed by the scenery in Skyfall that it declared Scotland its top travel destination for 2013, in front of New Zealand, Japan, Amsterdam, Miami, Morocco and Slovakia which were also highly rated.
Destinations were judged on factors including "significant" events, airline routes, hotels, available bargains and accessibility. CNN said "Scotland has seen fit to dub 2013 the Year of Natural Scotland, and what better time to do it?"
The cable news network also cited the Open golf championship, the newly created Scottish National Trail and the Dumfries & Galloway Festival as reasons to book flights across the Atlantic.
So, we hope to see you soon. Go on, you know you want to!
