Edinburgh zoo is an 82-acre (33 ha) zoological park in Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland.
The zoo has around 1,000 animals from big cats to snakes, giant anteaters, rhinos pandas, chimps, monkeys, flamingoes, koalas sea eagles, penguins, enough to see for a great day out.
The land lies on the Corstorphine Hill, from which it provides extensive views of the city.
The Zoo is directly and frequently served by Lothian Buses routes 12, 26, 31 and 100 to/from Haymarket railway station and Edinburgh city centre.
The Balgreen tram stop will be (from May 2014) the nearest point served by Edinburgh Trams, but is located more than 600 metres from the Zoo.
