Can you speak plain English?

Unbelivable!

Here are examples of official writing: "High-quality learning environments are a necessary precondition for facilitation and enhancement of the ongoing learning process". Huh?

Once the good guys of the Plain English Campaign had finished rewriting this piece of...art, the result was: "Children need good schools if they are to learn properly." Good down to earth comon sense really.

Here's another one: "Personalisation Implementation Team" (Harrow Council). And the meaning of this is...?

And another one: "If there are any points on which you require explanation or further particulars we shall be glad to furnish such additional details as may be required by telephone." The plain english version is: "If you have any questions, please phone". I should have thought of that!

Looking at the bright sight, they make us laugh...
