all you need for relocation to scotland: edinburgh
The Scotch Whisky Experience
If you spend just one day in Edinburgh then it's well worth it experiencing a sensational journey through a replica distillery set in the iconic setting of Edinburgh castle.
The place is called The Scotch Whisky Experience and couldn't deserve a better name. Just imagine walking through the world's largest whisky collection - counting almost 3,500 individual bottles - and you'll get the idea.
With a resident ghost and expert guides who will assit you in exploring the aromas and flavours of your chosen dram, you'll be sure to have a barrel of fun!
Several tours are available that include comparative tasting, riding in a whisky barrel (great for kids), discovering the different aromas, tasting, uncovering the myths surrounding Scotch whisky...and more tasting!
If you have a bit more time on your hand do try to go onto a whisky course (and get a “Certificate of Expertise” recognised by the Scotch Whisky Industry) which features hands on activities.
The Amber restaurant offers of course traditional Scottish food and to accompany your meal, over 300 different Scotch Whiskies, Scotch Whisky liqueurs and Scotch Whisky cocktails await your order.
Great experience whether you are a whisky lover or not and the kids will have fun. It's well done, informative and yes, fun. We know, we've been there!
